First off, I wanted to welcome everyone to this new guild and let you all know what direction we're looking toward taking.
So, welcome!
Now that that's out of the way, here comes the fun stuff.
A few of us were not happy in the former guild because it was not conductive to progression. Which is cool, that's not for everyone and we can't expect it to be. So, what we're aiming for here is a mix between casual and hardcore. We want to be more hardcore than the casuals but more casual than the hardcores.
Make any sense?
So, since I have said that, let me go into our guild rankings and what we're going to do about recruitment.
Rankings:
Initiate -
New to the guild, new to the members of the guild. Take some time getting to know those under this rank and welcome them to the guild.
Member -
This rank will be for the more causal people that prefer leveling or PvP or the extreme casual raider.
Any friend or family member can be brought into the guild under this rank.
Raider -
The lifeblood of this guild, I think. Your raider status will be earned. What this basically means is that if you are a continual no-show, if you can't come to raids properly gemmed and enchanted, with flasks, buff food, pots, and reagents, your raider status will be removed, ESPECIALLY since here in the near future, all raiders will have access to the raider bank tab. If you take a look there, you will find all kinds of raiding mats. We only ask that you give back every once in a while.
For new people, showing that you know the content and taking an active roll in guild events will get you raider status.
A non-raider status does not mean that you can't raid, but raid spots will be given to raiders before non-raiders.
Managers/Manager Alts -
People that you can go to if you need help. They are, for the most part, the most knowledgeable people in the guild about not only the class that they play, but with boss strats and fight mechanics. They can also point you to a shitload of outside resources that can help you improve in your playstyle.
This being said, managers are not here to play your class for you. You have to be willing to help yourself before they can help you.
Queen (co-gm) - Reid. He has the bewbs. Ask to see them.
As far as recruitment goes, we will be opening up our doors here within the next couple of days to get us some good, solid players. I don't care if they've never gone past Saurfang in ICC10. What I care about is that they have the will and the means to learn the fights. We don't mind teaching people the fights and the mechanics - but you have to be willing to learn.
And of course, anyone is welcome under the member status.
I'll be posting here regularly as we continue to lay down a more solid foundation.
See you all in game!
